So... hey everyone! It's been fun reading everyone's posts so far, it's like high school and xanga all over again, am i right? So my name is Sarah Morgan. I'm a senior psychology major/ english minor. I'm planning on bumping the minor to a major which means staying an extra semester. So that means it's another semester i stay out of this wicked bad economy.... so that's totally fine with me.
I grew up in Jacksonville, NC which is home to Camp Lejeune. My dad was a marine (retired officially in 2000); but despite being raised in such a conservative environment (jacksonville, not my home) my sister and i both emerged liberal democrats. I'm currently living in carrboro with three of my good friends and i seriously love the F bus route when it's cold/i'm lazy/most days.
When i'm not in school i enjoy the finer things: knitting, reading all of your blogs apparently, walking around target with a giant diet coke, making dinner with friends and watching the office, and chasing down people with dogs at weaver street so that i can have a daily dose of puppy. I am also a waitress at Nantucket Grill in Durham (free cake night on tuesdays and 1/2 all wine and beer on thursdays... just saying!) It's been a really great experience so far (i've only dumped red wine on somebody like once!)
Ultimately i'd like to go to graduate school for social work. I'm taking this class to count for my minor and i'll find out on weds if it contributes to a major (if not, it could be that i'm now just taking this class for fun.) It turns out that i'm far better with fictional people that i am with real people-- so my english major is a means to bolster my gpa so that i can get to that grad school.
So this was way too much me time for one morning... I'll see your faces on tuesday i suppose! Happy MLK day in the mean time!
