Put on your Sunday clothes....

...there's lots of world out there! I'm Elizabeth Littauer and I'm a first-year. I live in George Moses Horton dorm, and although the slave poet was neat, I was rather disappointed when I learned that it was not named for the valiant pachyderm of Dr. Seuss fame. I am a Pixar movie enthusiast, hence the title of this post (it's from WALL-E... well, from a movie clip of Hello Dolly! that Wall-E watches). Also, like the title implies, I love to explore. In the first few days of school, I made it a point to poke around one building a day. Two alarms, three funny-looking couches, countless funny-looking professors, and one really sketchy sketch (from Hanes Art Center) later, I finally feel like I know my way around. Last semester, I took a first-year seminar and a history class on recent African history. Other than the occasional genocide or coup d'etat, I really enjoyed them; if you have any questions about Chief Shaka or the Manhumutapa Empire, I would love to inform you. When I'm not conquering UNC's edifices or studying for obscure classes, I watch "How It's Made" on the Discovery Channel and Planet Earth reruns, also on the DC.
